Energy Performance Certificates

From 1 October 2008, under the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates & Inspections) Regulation 2007, all commercial buildings being sold or let will require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) prior to being placed on the market.

EPCs have a lifespan of 10 years and provide information on the energy efficiency of a building, estimating running costs and advice on cost effective improvements which can be made to the property.
